Cyber Security & System Management - 2 Years

The Advanced Systems Management and Cybersecurity diploma program includes 10 free certification examination vouchers (including Microsoft and CompTIA) as well as a 16-week field placement for students to gain direct hands-on experience.

The Advanced Systems Management and Cybersecurity program will provide students with the skills and knowledge to pursue certifications and careers in server and network administration, and cybersecurity. Students receive training on enterprise operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux in addition to learning how to configure and secure network infrastructures based on industry best practices. Students will learn how to properly manage Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL server, as well as how to automate administration using PowerShell (Microsoft) and the Bash shell (Linux). The program also covers the procedures and technologies that can be used to secure access to data and respond to security breaches.

Students will also learn how to
communicate effectively and manage time and IT-related projects within a corporate infrastructure.

As an Advanced Systems Management and Cybersecurity graduate, you will qualify for positions such as: Windows Server Administrator, Active Directory Administrator, Windows Network Administrator, Smartphone Administrator, Messaging Administrator, Email Server Administrator, Linux Administrator, Open-Source Specialist, and Data Mining Specialist

2 years (4 semesters) Intake: Jan, May, and Sep Intake
The graduate has reliably demonstrated the ability to:
  • Identify requirements and implement mobile solutions.
  • Promote mobile technology solutions using business communication and marketing skills.
  • Create effective user interfaces that leverage evolving mobile device capabilities.
  • Design and develop websites that deploy to different devices and platforms.
  • Design and develop cross-platform applications built with rich-media and HTML-based technologies.
  • Design and develop device-specific, native applications.
  • Research and apply various software development kits (SDKs), frameworks and toolkits.
  • Integrate database and server-side technologies to provide complete mobile development solutions.
  • Build, test, and deploy secure mobile solutions using appropriate network technologies.
  • Collaborate in a team-based, mobile development project.
  • Identify and apply discipline-specific practices that contribute to the local and global community through social responsibility, economic commitment and environmental stewardship.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Students must meet one (1) of the following admission requirements:

  • High school graduation or
  • GED or equivalent or
  • Mature student – Detailed resume outlining experience and qualifications must be submitted.

  • Configuring Advanced Windows Server Services -80 hrs.
  • A+ : 100 hrs.
  • Career Planning & Preparation – Level I -20 hrs.
  • Career Planning & Preparation – Level II -20 hrs
  • Enterprise Smartphone Administration -80 hrs.
  • Microsoft Exchange Server Administration -80 hrs.
